Blog Holiday

I have not been feeling too creative these days so hence have not been in the mood to update my blog- i think i will be taking a "blogging break" for awhile. The boys are getting so big and we have turned a corner with isaacs naps (they are non-existant) so i don't have much down time anymore and Elliot is also napping alot less too - so - no more blog for awhile, unless i feel specifically creative.

ah-life is beautiful

As i get older....

I am learning that when my toddler grabs a nap these days, the crash doesn't often come until 3:30ish and even if its only for 45 minutes, he is re-wired to stay awake until 11pm. Right now it is 10:54pm, and i still hear him happily awake in his room, just carelessly knocking his little knuckles on the wall next to the office here...so, he's happy....just awake. Its just that i can't handle him being awake and with me ALL day - i am still mourning the loss of the 3 hour daily naps and him in bed by 9!! sigh.....oh well, at least elliot still sleeps lots.

Wheels are a'turnin!!

You know how they say necessity is the mother of invention? Well, i think i am in the baby stages of the invention-part due to the necessity (or desire) to make more money. So, here are my thoughts as of today--i need to find something that i can market and sell online and/or locally from home! So far, my thought process is everything baby -- since that is what interests me and that is what i am living and breathing at the moment.

So far: belly cast kits, baby hand print kits, slings - that is what has made my list thus far of things that i love for myself and think others would buy at the right price!! I have also been thinking of becoming a doula - or something similar that would help the postpartum mom with meals, cleaning, baby care...could this be a business? Any other ideas? Throw them my way!!

Well, we rang in the new year for the 10th year 'camp style' Yes, chris and i have had 10 new years together! And just in camp style, he was off doing camp business and didn't kiss me at midnight (grr) ....But the company we kept was pretty great - my sister in law Laura came out with her hubby mike and chris's cousin Aaron and his wife Kelly were teaching Swing Dance tonight - a total hit with the crowd! i wish i could dance...i felt real old tonight as i limped back to my house at 1am because i threw out my hip somehow tonight..sigh---age. But life is good, another year is here and i have lots to be thankful for - Happy New Year!!
