Trying out the new Tablet......

Here we are!!

This post has been in the making since yesturday evening! 

I kept getting caught up on the pictures!!  Either the tablet freezes, or pop ups start!! 

BOTH totally frustrating...and i was so excited about this new tablet:

For one main reason: it is the only tablet out there as all the usb ports!  Even a space for my SIM card from my camera!  No need to buy more add ons.....it also had a bluetooth keyboard so i could type quickly and it connected to my android phone so i was even able to skype with my friends on the way home from the store!

But the real deal maker was whether i could blog!!!  Or, deal breaker...i should say!

No Dice.....

I guess i just have a wait a few more years before the tablet is ready for a blogger like me who wants a smooth transition from laptop to tablet.  Perfect for those who do schooling or email or skype....but someone needing a little more hands on with their picture editing and blogging....laptop is still where its at for me!!

My dad {and mom} generously gave us money at christmas for a new device of some kind since we are on it so much and our laptop is about to die {or does die when we unplug it from the wall!}

So...its new year eve day...chris went to nanaimo (again) to return the tablet and bring us home a new laptop!!  We are so spoiled.....so spoiled......and we are so appreciative and know how lucky we are.

Christmas at the Burdges.....

It was a nice time with our family...as it always is.  Ashley and Mike were invited to come along since their folks were in hawaii (poor things! ha!)....they brought a nice wine and their camera!  Which was a nice change for us to NOT be the ones with the camera in our hands through the evening--but here are a few of the favorites that my dear friend took of our lovely family on christmas day.

Didn't get any other pics from the evening....marg is going to be mad enough that i even included her, but she is a big part of the family and i never put any shots of her in....she is so good to everyone...she really is the glue here.  It was a very merry christmas!!!

yes.....you rejoin 3 camp couples and there will be lots of laughing, a few over-the-line jokes, and many smelly rooms because every body still thinks farting is hilarious and a sign of comfortableness with eachother.....

 Thank you Cor....you made my day.  I was feeling pretty overwhelmed today and tired and all the things that the holidays leave over....all good stuff....but the timing of this girls arrival was perfect!

 Oh and these boys....i love the progression of these pics....Scottie loves to be totally inappropriate with chris and make him uncomfortable!  The more uncomfortable chris is...the bigger he smiles!! its hilarious to watch....

 It was pretty much a mini keep away game.....grabby scottie.....love it.

 ah yes....our dear friends are home tommorow and us girls felt a need to welcome them home 'camp style'.....nothing too major....but they will have a few gifts to open when they get home...including their toilet!! mwahahah

 Just found out this evening was their 10 year anniversary!!!  And we had no idea--but we were full of ideas for the remainder of the evening.....they weren't really having any of it!! haha

 Happy anniversary dear friends....its really just the beginning....isn't it?

It's me again....no 'guest bloggers' here tonight!!

We had a sweet boxing day with friends...I made bruch and we had plans to walk, but it was pouring, and the idea of dragging 5 little boys outside was overwhelming....to all of us!!  So, the afternoon was spent prepping the turkey {well, watching Mike prep the turkey!!}......

 The kids played upstairs -- beyblades and movies!!

 We all settled into the afternoon and watched "Griswolds family christmas"....

 and just so you don't think we sat around all afternoon....here is Ash

Boxing day was full of food, movies, games, turkey, and friends.....all good stuff!!

I just had a thought.....

I should have signed out of my dads iPad before I left Kelowna because now he can add whatever he wants into my blog. I know he would only add positive and wonderful things because he is such a kind and gental soul. MWAHAHAHAHA.

He is such a wonderful man.

Christmas Morning.....at home!!!

The other day, chris and i woke up roughly around the same time in the middle of the night.....and we both didn't know where we were!!!!  Thats what you get when you sleep in a different bed pretty much every night for the month!!  So, to wake up in your bed on Christmas morning....was a very appreciated gift.....here are a few shots from the morning....

 Each boy got new cozy pj's from nona and grand dad....plus a special gift from their brother and then one main gift from chris and i!!  That was it (aside from their stocking)---and it was amazing!!  Each gift was looked at, played with, etc....not tossed in search of the next gift!!

 Chris is a tough one to buy for-so i knew he would love it or hate it....but he got a vintage radio!  He liked it....

Chris bought me a beautiful pair of earrings and a bracelet from macy's during one of his sneaky shopping trips in LA.....it was a really nice morning...low key....Ashley and Mike came to our big family dinner on christmas night and took pictures....so i won't be blogging about christmas day until i get those---so onto Boxing Day!!!

Christmas EVE!!!

I am tired...but if i don't post this quickly before i get to bed....i will probably just be overwhelmed come next week when there will be a mountain of stuff to upload!  SO....here we are on Christmas Eve with one of our favorite families!!!  Here was the itinerary: arrive at 2:30....play.....and eat.....really sweet church service at 6 til 7....{people were happy to see us back after our month away...there are some really nice people at this little church we have started attending.....i think we will stick around awhile....}

After church....feeling thankful for all our blessings....Paul cooked dinner!!  Beef and brocoli stirfry....amazing!!  Ate dinner all together and watched the Jim Carey Grinch film!!
