Launching rockets ... again.

This afternoon was another day of rocket launching. These guys each built a rocket — Ben and Levi vs Isaac and the bros.  

The “silver bullet” went first .... it wobbled a lot 

Isaacs shot straight up with no wobble .... 

Chris spent all morning before they arrived laser cutting wooden fins for his rocket as well as 3D printing a nose for the rocket — but unfortunately both flew off upon launching ....

Chris and Phil have figured out the launch pad so now they just have to perfect the designing of the actual bottle rockets. 

Building a shed ....

Chris and Isaac headed over to the Williams to help build their wood shed since Phil’s tresses had arrived.  I was working at the post office and Elliot and I headed out in the afternoon ....

The evening was spent building rockets to prep for the family camp “activity” this summer.

The final rocket launched down to the water ... the cheering was very loud.  I love that this event is fun for all these guys .....

Lake Cowichan postie

Saturdays are a kick now that I’ve been put in charge of running the lake Cowichan office on my own.  I wanted this gig to get to know the people in my community and Saturdays are mainly all customer service.  So it’s right up my alley.

It's nice getting off work at 11:30 because the rest of the day is still open for fun ....

We escape to the mountains for views and fires and fun.  

And this kid escapes to the skatepark often after school ... it’s been beautiful weather lately so I love that he takes advantage of that. 

New to us Electric car!

The Williams brought over a Bolt electric car from this states so now they had an extra car that they still want for Danica when she can drive, but its not for another year ... so in the meantime, they asked if we would drive it and keep it from sitting too long .... we happily obliged.  It's been a kick to drive around with no worry about the cost of gas! 

Rotary Student of the month

Received this in the email today .... turns out our kid fits the bill.

I sent him to conference that a friend of mine was putting on across canada on discipleship and within a few hours, Isaac was up at the board ... teaching. 

He made his law teacher a gavel this week...

He started watching skating youtube videos in December ... and so now he skateboards ....

He is pretty well deserving of this award ... we are pretty proud ...

Valentines Day ....

Spoiled again ... I used to tell Chris not to buy me flowers, and now that I am older, and we aren't living paycheck to paycheck, I have told him from here on out, flowers and chocolate and all the things is what I would love....

He laser cut these super cute earrings for me too!!  Cards full of love were there too ... lovely day!!!

Port Renfrew ....

I love Port Renfrew ... and I love these two .... and since its often a chore to drag all 6 children with us on our adventures, we decided to leave them all home and go to Port Renfrew to get some much wanted Ocean time.
