My sweet Elliot ...

This is my boy, curled up beside my bed .... he says he feels safer to sleep here.  Love him so much ... such a sweet little soul.

Elliot gets his sweater!

A beautiful, soft sweater made for Elliot!  He wears it almost every day and says its so soft that it feels like a security blanket that makes him feel safe and comfortable.  Sweet hey?

Meghans birthday dinner!

She asked for Ribs ... she got ribs ... she asked for white cake, we made her white cupcakes ....

I think Chris was watching Oak Island in the living room, so Cristin and I ended up here watching tv.

They finally all looked at the camera ... but this was after Cristin and I were losing it on them for just ONE NICE SHOT!!!

Saturday with Victoria Friends!

It had felt like a really long winter ... not a lot of visits with friends ... and honestly, I was lonely for some really solid time with some of my solid friends ....

 

Breakfast with Deanna .... we don't see eachother often because she is a super busy mom of 4!!!  But we love our time together, so we carved out breakfast and a quick walk together before I headed to Aishas for the afternoon.

Slept over at Darlenes house that night... she failed to tell me her guest room was out of commission until I was almost there .... so ... she gave me no option than to sleep with her, but she promised no spooning lol.

Had the nicest morning with her pup in the morning ....

I spent the afternoon on Friday with Aisha before arriving at Darlenes...she is someone who talks so real with me, and we dream together about life and how to make the best life ever .... I always leave my time with her excited and better.  Here she is joining me at the womens conference on Saturday that Darlene dragged me to .... wasn't a huge fan, but whatever, it was time with Darlene .... and Aisha popping in for the last half was a fun bonus.

Got to sit beside this lady during the conference too ... but she left half way through too to spend some better time with the friend she brought with her .... Aisha and I left not long after either ...

It was a good 24 hours and I headed home with my cup full and ready to be back with my house full of boys!

Family Day 2019

Knitting ... chatting .... checking out the local museum in LC .... roast beef dinner ... crib .... good good day with a great family .....

Isaac and his friends .....

Isaac had his friends over on Saturday .... at my encouragement.  I want our house to be the place his friends feel comfortable hanging out at ... I think our first intro went well.  Isaac made a list of 'options' ....

They let me dress a lot of them so that they would be warm ...

And they are off .....

They are just like big little toddlers .... lol

 

This is Isaacs friend who stayed later than everyone else .. she got a dinner invite ... mainly because she was still around and didn't show any signs of leaving lol ....

Sabbatical

I won't write much about these past few months because we don't really want to remember much of them ... but here are a few shots of our family as we navigated through .... below was the long awaited interview for the position of ED.

The phase was peppered with moments as a family....snowed in ... with nowhere to go ... we did a lot of talking together, walking loops around this property .... wishing we had money to get off the property and somewhere warm .....

Here is Chris calling Scott ... to say congratulations .... they talked for almost 2 hours ....

It has been brutal ... so glad this phase is over and we know the answer .... and Chris has been amazing to watch as he has processed it all.  His faith is strong, he never once considered leaving .... so many stages of emotions this past year .... Definitely ready for the next chapter.
