Thing 1 and Thing 2

Lots of shots from tonights big party {but for another blog, i'm tired}....but some of these made me laugh out loud til my stomach hurt, and i was alone....so worth noting as I can look back in 20 years and laugh again!!

Still Croupy

Little Elliot is still sick.....he sounds awful. Last night he slept well because he slept propped up on a bunch of pillows.....that is, until about 6am when he got up not being able to breath. I led him back to bed and pulled out the oxygen tank that i had borrowed to try out.....it seemed to calm him down and he fell back asleep. The doctor says he just has a virus that we have to wait out.....so, until then....buzzlight year will be sleeping in a sitting position.

Margs Birthday.....

It was my mother in laws birthday this past friday....

And i know that her favorite thing is having all her family in one spot......at the same time.

A little lunch, some hula hooping, tea, cake, and a game of blokus in front of the fire.....

Moonlight Madness at the lake....

It was a highlight for many around here ... the line up was crazy when we arrived!  But we got rockstar parking out front and didn't have to wait long for a cart....but every halloween the local grocery store does a 4 hour 'big sales, big prizes for those who dress up, here, have a donut' moonlight madness!!

Here is Rachel and I taking in the sights; she is a 'classy lady' {i was quickly reprimanded when i said she was a 'pretty' lady.....my bad.}...and I am a TURKEY!!! {Thank you Elliot for making my costume in kindergarden}.  I laughed when i saw Rach....i mean, come on...people DO dress like that around here, they may not think she is in costume!!!

Little Bear.....still a little under the weather....but still game.

We spent the money {$50 gets a spin on the prize wheel!}....Elliot spun the wheel....
....and guess what we won??

A puzzle.....at least it was better than a box of crackers
{that was what we won last year as we watched Jon and Mel walk away with a new bike!!!}

Bits and pieces......

Picked up the boys from the bus and came home to laundry.....picked up a sweet new feather duvet and cover from thrift this morning and here the boys are--wrapped up in it as it came out of the dryer......bugs in a rug!!

 Isaac is such a comedian......

 It's contagious.....

 So....after dinner at the Rentons, we put the kids right to bed when we got home.  Around 12:30am...chris and i had been asleep for only an hour or so - Elliot came tearing into our room, door swings open and slams against the wall and there he stands: hysterical and gasping....oh no...the croup is back.  I pulled him into bed and held him for a bit before we laid him down between us.....he cried and yelled....i got him some medicine, tried a few distraction techniques....none worked.  He fell asleep for a few minutes while chris put some clothes and shoes on.  He waited about 1/2 hour before elliot woke up again, crying.  Chris pulled him out of bed, wrapped him in blankets and headed to the car for a ride.  By the time he got to the lake, Elliot was calm and fine.  When asked if they should go home now....elliot pips up "no...i think McDonalds will make me feel better".....and he was right.

This morning, was a little slower paced.  Isaac got onto the bus as Elliot lay with dad, having a quiet morning, processing his happy meal and laying low....but around 10:30am, he was ready to head to school.......good thing too -- they were carving pumpkins!!

 He isn't 100%....who knows about how tonight will go. 

We are all dressing up to head to the big party at the grocery store (yeah...small town living!!)

i heart Wednesdays......

Paul said it well last week....but he spoke for me too: i heart Wednesday.

Friends come around.....kids play......today i was able to stay home and clean, purge, organize {donate, thrift, toss, and repeat was todays mantra!!]

Everyone arrived around 4.......I had made a pot of Mulligatawny soup that was awesome!  Coconut milk, garlic, curry....all good stuff!!  As well as a bunch of pancake recipes; we had berry pancakes, banana pancakes and the regular plain ones.....

 Proof of a good time: lots of peed in panties.....you know you are having a good time when you don't want to leave to go pee....one of those bags may have had a pair of my underpants in 'em!! haha

 Currently the hardest working Imadene Wife......and Jennie-Lynn.

Very packed day.....

Pretty stoked that its low key tommorow.....but here we go: documenting today.

Kids...up and out the door at 7:45am to catch their bus.

Me....drove into LC to get a slow leak fixed on my car...front right tire....no charge?  thank you very much!!

Met the bus in town as it was turning into the school.....parked, and walked the boys from the bus to their class....little more love before they start their day never hurt anyone right??

Drove to Victoria to see this beautiful woman and her new baby angel:

 Oh....little maya and halle were so sweet.....

 So excited for baby Anna Grace!!

 I was able to make it back from victoria just in time for a nap in my car, OR a hike with the grade 2/3's.....i choose the hike, though my body was yelling for the nap!!!

 Mr. Steve is a biologist who came on the walk...here he is taking isaac aside to tell him about how those helicopter seeds work....they are like helicopters so that when the wind blows them off the maple tree....it blows the seeds far and wide....planting possible maples all over!!!  It was information just for isaac, i loved that.

 Hahaha....oh Isaac.......nice hands on your hips!!

 I want to document this picture.  This boy....this sweet sweet boy....loves when i come to the classroom to help.  Doesn't leave my side and holds my hand every chance he gets. 

 A very welcomed text came in this afternoon asking if she could feed the boys and I tonight.......

 Response: "Yes, Please!!!!"
