New Years Eve...

It was a low key day.  A few errands in the morning, a walk in the afternoon, tim hortons after the walk, crab for dinner, old school movies were on the reel for tonight; do you remember Fred Savage in "The Wizard"?  awesome....and how about 'The Borrowers'?  Its almost 11, and they are still running strong, but i think we may put them to bed....but who knows...perhaps a pillow fight is in order??  here are a few pics of the day:

THIS is how elliot normally starts our walks.....tears, whining that he is cold, tired, blah
blah....but then he get warmed up....OR once he chills, gets a ride on chris!

OK, these next 4 pictures are funny; watch the progression of Elliots position!

Happy New Year!!!

Back together!!

yes....it was one whole month TOO long to not see this girl!!  But today we played and were back to our usual routine:  eat, walk the boys, roll eyes at mathews long screaming rants back to the house, feed the boys, hang out in front of the fire, and repeat!!  Here are a few pictures from the day:

The look of concentration as we ice some gingerbread cookies for the boys
so they are ready when we get  back from a long cold walk...
Seriously, is there anything better than home made gingerbread and hot chocolate?
We didn't think so.....
They watched Toy Story 3 as we prepped the cookies!
Final product and they tasted even better than they looked!
Thanks mom for bringing us gingerbread this Christmas, it will NOT go to waste!

A few holiday favorites....the day to day.....

Mug from England

My mother in law brought this mug back from England for Chris a few years back and its one of my favorites since it is just so 'us!!'  Man on his quad with his son and his dog....awesome.

thanks susan for taking the shot....you have a great eye for seeing whats around you.  i could take a lesson as my eyes are often just cast downward getting to my next place!

Saying Good Bye...

Brad and Carrie and Jack left the day after boxing day, so we wanted to get a few more group pictures:
Jack and Carrie..beautiful picture
Its my first full day with no company, and i really miss everyone......i really do...come back.
Such a great Christmas.....best yet.

BOXING DAY with the AMERICANS!!

It started out as a trick to keep my mom and dad from driving back to kelowna too early!!
But Susan and Mike came up for Boxing Day!!  I love these guys...here is an example why:  they arrive around 2ish...we visit for a bit, feed them....they go get their slippers on, Susan crashes on the couch with the rest of us, Mike heads to his room to take to take a nap......awesome!  When he gets up, he now has energy to get crazy with the boys...they love him and his games:
Here we all are watching Isaac and mom play Kinect.......i know it looks like she is throwing her back out..
Carrie and I having a go at it!
Dad stayed away from the xbox, but he was a nimble fingered fox at crocono!!
Chris and Brad having a go.......
 We eat.....again!!
 We play.....again!
eat, play, rest....repeat = Christmas this year!
