Phil turns 49!

Shannon and the boys were desperate to come home from the lodge so Phil drove them to Nanaimo where Chris and I met them.  We put ben and Danica in the car before we left camp so Phil could have time with his whole family on his birthday.   

When asked where he wanted to go for dinner with everyone, Quality Foods deli section was his choice cause they have a great Chinese food section!!

It was actually a lovely grocery store with a patio on the roof!!??  So we had a great dinner up there on our own… stayed for hours debriefing and venting about current life conditions.  

Summer Friends 2021

Summer Laura is much more relaxed than the other 11 months of the year when she works in her stressful job - case and point these next two pictures will prove it:

Shannon came up for an evening on this same day and we made the staff smoothies!

We officially were the favorite moms of the day …

So Katie has been one of this summers greatest surprises … we get along really well and her kids are pretty sweet.  But she’s funny and creative and hardworking … and doesn’t seem to get offended easily, which is helpful in friendships of mine.  She comes for evening visits after kids are in bed and coffee in the morning to start the day …. 

I laughed at this picture because little luke threw a ball at his brother which then ricochet off his brother and into Luke’s face … so here he is being consoled for his behaviour lol. Katie is rolling her eyes as his brothers console him …it’s the end of summer and the camp kids are nearing the end too ….



And this weekends gift was this girl. Deanna and I have been friends for so long but we don’t see eachother often because she’s so busy (4 little kids)…. But we enjoyed the sun this weekend …

She moving to Kelowna next month … she always a favorite to talk about all things money related, real estate, future hopes and dreams …. Love her. 

Isaac wakeboards 2021

He’s gotten pretty good at wakeboarding this summer …

It helps that his mom is one of the boat drivers …..

And loving it ….

Especially when he learned his rocket flew backwards into the staff parking lot and hit a staff car and dented it …. 

Meanwhile … Jayden turned 21 and some of the staff did a surprise Abba song that I was invited in to watch. Very cute. Love this staff group ….

Aaaaaand … Isaacs job isn’t too tough this year lol….

Loved every minute of her spotting in my boat this week!

Was especially proud to see her wakeboard! 

She was quite pleased with herself as well!

Shannon and I snuck out with the boys to get Danica’s birthday presents …

They were quite silly.
