A play by play, hour by hour day with Elliot.....

10AM - time to help mom with the firewood.

 11AM-time to play with the neighbors cat.

Noon-time for lunch.

1PM: Time for DS

{little insert of what I am doing while he plays DS:  seriously, the best part of this movie has always been the last 10 minutes!  I could watch jeff bridges and barbara streisand dance in the streets of New York all night long!!}

2ish PM: Time to bake with mom!!

3PM: Time for snack! 

4PM:  Time to get Isaac from the school bus.

 {check OUT his big front tooth coming in!  AND the one big wiggly one on its way out!}

5PM: Time to play upstairs with your brother.

6PM: Time to learn how to be a teenager.

7PM: Time to chill with the family, eat kettle corn and watch 'Dispicable Me' together.

I think he had a good day.....if i was 4, i would think it was a good day.

My dads first "In n Out" Experience!!

He arrived in LA today and drove right over for lunch....with MY birthday gift card!!

He felt it necessary to take a picture....

I am so jealous......

Home with Elliot

Today was the first afternoon that Elliot and I could head straight home after preschool without having to wait for Isaac to finish school!  This is going to be great.

Isaac and his class

Elliot and i helped in Isaacs class on friday, my good friend kim came along too--which made cutting out dozens and dozens of shapes for chinese hats much more bearable!!  Elliot went out for recess with Isaac and his friends while i stayed in to do more work for Mme Jan.  Isaac came back in and was so impressed how Elliot 'kept up' with all the girl chasing they did during recess!

This is Grace, isaacs friend who he chases at recess and rides the bus home with.  I like her, she seems sweet.

And do you see on the board the word "Tuque".....the teacher pointed to it and asked Isaac what it was.  I sucked in my breath as i waited to see if he knew the the answer....and he did!

It was only afterward that i mentioned how proud i was that he knew that

word...only to be told that  someone had whispered the answer to him {sigh....}

But it was great....he has a nice class and i think we want to make it

a priority to spend a few hours there each friday.

Conversations with Elliot

I am on the couch when Elliot walks in with a page of punch out cardboard shapes.  Elliot punches out the heart and passes it to me and says 'here you go'.  I ask him why i get the heart and he responds by saying 'because i love you'.

Thank you Visa....you are A-OK!

We were mad at our Visa card company a few weeks ago when we were in LA, trying to do some Christmas shopping...seriously the FIRST time chris and i were able to get away without the kids to get them some Christmas gifts.  We tried to use our Visa, and it was declined!!  All it took was a phone call that evening and a lesson that we need to tell Visa when we go out of the country, otherwise our purchases look sketchy since we never really use our visa outside of the valley!

This evening, I got a call from Visa fraud services that someone who was in New York City was trying to rack up a $540 bill at Walgreens on MY card!!  Seriously, how do they DO that??  Someone in NY??

I was told to cut up my card and a new one is coming....but can you BELIEVE that? It blows my mind and i feel bad for being mad about the small amount of grief they caused me in December, but i am so thankful that there is someone looking out for us!  yay visa.....you are ok in my books even though your annual fee kills me...but i suppose you get what you pay for!  thank YOU!

Todays Events.....

Each boy had an adventure today {unfortunatly their mom didn't have enough hands to carry out the big camera this morning, so blackberry pictures will have to suffice.}

Each adventure was very unplanned...which makes it even more fun!!

Elliot went to gymnastics today, with his friend Meghan.

I took this picture without her realizing because i don't think i had ever seen anything like this womans hair!! She must be getting way more attention now that "Tangled" is out in theatres?!

Isaacs adventure was an impromtu "test-run" ride home....along with the

extent of 'helicopter' mom at its finest......

Yup, I followed this bus for almost an hour with my first born on it!! 

His first ride on the school bus....it was quite bittersweet.

David turns 5!!

Elizabeth threw David a little party this afternoon.

 The above picture was supposed to be the token ' mom watching beautiful son blow out his candles'....but her camera was SO slow and it finally snapped just in time for Clive to reach over the table for something!!  So, Elizabeth - voila!  That is your arm behind David....proof you were there!  Wish i had brought my camera...sorry...wasn't thinking!

Maiden Voyage!!

The boys got snowshoes for Christmas from Nona and Grandad this year! 

So, we went off in search of snow today....we found a little bit. 

 We also found that the boys are naturals!!

New Years Day...

Made some chocolate covered cherries this afternoon

with belgian chocolate for the neighbors across the lake!

 We bundled up the boys and tossed them into a canoe!

 We all loved it!

Now, its the end of the day....we've had a homemade 'hamburger helper' type noodle dish, fire is on, and unfortunatly i made more chocolate covered cherries (yum!).  Watching 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang'......a really nice start to the New Year!
