WOA 2019 - highlights

We didn't have good weather this year ....
We made some fun necklaces all together as a group! My boys helped this weekend! It was fun having them!
Nice shirt dad ...
Isaac and Danika washing all the pots!
Favorite ....

WOA 2019 pics ....
Dad has done so much work prepping for his spoon carving class!! Here is the duo doing their class for WOA - wood spoons and spatulas....

It was a really relaxed day considering the big day was Friday ..... Darlene picked Carrie up from the airport so I could sit with Marg at the hospital for an hour. Today was round 4 ... big dose day. Nice to be able to do that and not drive to Victoria.... Susan and all her Washington girls arrived at the same time as Carrie but took their time getting to camp. They helped with the welcome!

Madi and Dory have knocked it out of the park for decorating - a year of prep and Pinterest boards and thrifting - amazing. Here they are with a few other helpers with prep. (Water bottles (labeling 200 bottles with our WOA label), handwriting 150 name tags, and then delivering them to all the room and cabins and lounges that the campers have taken over this year!!

Jen and Sharyn made the beautiful cards and printed enough for each camper. So thoughtful and beautiful, all held upright by the wood blocks that my dad made for task. Every camper got water, an art piece and earplugs.

Cafe prepped with decor and PowerPoint for backyard gardening workshop.

Aaaaaand.... a less then exciting weather forecast.
Probably our most low key start with all the hands we had on deck this year. After all the prep was done, we had a ‘My favorite things’ party in the aldergrove .... everyone brought 4 ‘something’s’ they loved and gave it to the 4 names they pulled out of the box. The group was a touch big lol so it took abit but it was fun. In bed by 10 which was the goal!!!

New Windows!!
We got new windows ... its the May Long work weekend here at camp ... and we have decided to move out for the day to let these guys work on installing new windows!!
Isaac got a smoothie for the road .....
Because in order to get this teenager out of bed on a Saturday, a promise of McDonalds pancakes was made (eye roll) ... but look how happy he looks?!
We were trying to find a button system for a gift I wanted to make for WOA campers .... so off to Trents we go! He has all the gear ... however, none of his gear worked for my project ....
We rented Isaac a violin on this day too ....
Then we went out for Japanese food ...
Mike and Laura and the family came over that evening while Isaac went over to a friends house ...
I got the girls doing a little wood burning project for fun ...
.....and tea for this one ....
And selfies from isaac .... Elliot was at Dylans for his birthday overnight .....
Where do all our socks go? By Elliot
Elliot worked on this speech and knocked it out of the park performing it for his class. His humour shines through and his sarcastic delivery was bang on .... I love it!!!

Mothers Day and Chris's 45th Birthday ....
Chris and I woke up at the little cabin in Errington very excited to go and pick up the boys ... life is just so much more fun when they are around .... so we grabbed them and headed to the Burdges for a visit before heading home. Elliot got a lesson on how to mow the lawn, however, he is still too small to reach the peddles and sit on the seat, that the machine kept turning off ...
It was still a kick to watch this from the window ....
Watching with this lady .... she sports my hat pretty well!!
2 good guys .... Chris and Trent getting the lawn done ...
Isaac slept for pretty much the entire visit ... here he is drooling on Margs pillow ....
Birthday boy and his mom .....
