Isaacs camp survey!!

Isaacs camp survey!!  His main suggestion was to put tuck in the cabins and that his biggest learning lesson was that sacrificing his friend to the bad guys in the night game was a good idea!!

Isaac and Intermediate #1

We haven't seen much of Isaac. He checks in a couple times a day but I miss him. A few shots from this week:

The tic tac challenge!!

Shake your head and get all the candy out!!  Isaacs box had candy stuck in it! So when he got back to his seat, he gave it all away to other campers. It was sweet. 

Meeting Maddie!!

Meg and Brett brought up beautiful little Maddie today for a visit. 

It was a nice day to hang out with her, the weather sucked, as per usual this summer, but it was good company.

Mia finds her place ...

Because it's definatly not on the bed with me because I saw a horror movie when I was a kid about a cat laying on someone's chest and sucking all their air out of their lungs!! And it's bad enough that I open my eyes sometimes to find her staring at me!!!  Super creepy!! 

However, Elliot and Isaac have both fallen in love with Mia and now while Isaac is at camp, we woke up to Mia curled in behind Elliot while he slept on the floor of our room. Super sweet. 

And ps: haven't touched a litter box or fed her since Thursday (hello continual feeder, I'm not starving her!)

Elliot is gonna miss the Zalinko kids this week as he is about to experience, for the first time, what it's like to have no nearby brothers or playmates! Zalinkos head off this morning to their 2 week summer trip to the mainland and Isaac has a full week of camp ahead of him!

Chris and Elliot headed to Vancouver today for a quick trip to customs to pick up the inflatables that finally arrived from China. I was happy to see Elliot get to spend a bit of time with Chris. 

*update: they ended up waiting for 4 hours in line trying to get back onto the island!! Monday?? It was strange .... They missed a freak thunder and lightening storm too that shut down the waterfront for abit because lightening was striking. Mia and I watched a movie while waiting for the boys to get home.

Maelle had her 6th birthday party yesterday. Which was awesome because everyone stuck around when we all normally split ways in the morning.

Bye kittens .... Maybe hello Mia!

Well, they all survived and grew to 2 pounds! All now adoptable so back to the SPCA they went this morning!

After we dropped off our kittens, we headed home to hang out with our newest possible addition (final decision to be made this weekend).... This is Mia. 

She's sweet and adventurous and pretty cool.... So far.  She reminds me of a panther ... Right down to her Bengal spots. 

She dashed outside this morning, so we rolled with it. Hoping she would come back .... Which she did. 

She seems to know that the boys are her meal ticket because upstairs has become her favourite spot. 

She took the cuddles for a little while, but then she hopped over us and put a few feet between us!

Addison !

I've loved and prayed for this girl long before she was even her moms tummy.  We bought stone geese and jams to help support her parents in bringing her into this life .... Her sense of humour and strong, sweet personality make her so fun to be around.   My favourite tonight was seeing her hold her muffin way up high above her head so Maryn couldn't get any of it (even though Maryn was not interested in the least!) .... So fun watching these kids grow up ...

I got this shirt for Addison when the girls threw a baby shower for Trish at camp 3 summers ago ... And this summer, here is Emery wearing it!!! Love it!!

Well, I guess if I can't be around Chris for much of the summer, I'm glad his assistants dress like me ...you know, to remind him of me?

Mia....Trial day 1

Oh boy, meet Mia. She's here for a couple days .... Just to see if we like her. 

And I will tell you that she is wasting no time sucking up to the boys. I think she knows they are her meal ticket.

Oh, and he's taken Nona's flip flops that she left here. My boy wears the same size as my mother?! When did that happen??  (They don't fit perfectly but he isn't swimming in them!! ;-)

We were out for a paddle last night with my friend Heidi ...the boys came along too (Isaac got to use our new kayak)!

We have friends here this week. They all have amazing kids. I love when Chris takes a minute to hang out with us.

Elliot always wakes up before Isaac does these days. With me at work, I love that when Elliot leaves Isaac sleeping, he leaves a note;

Isaac was running a station for Chris's game the other night. Kids had to come and do a trick for him to get a coin.

Elliot's station was walking with stilts for a coin.

The girls are all here this week. It was pretty wild that we all got it together to get out for a paddle on our first night!!

I just think it's so token of these girls and all their boob grabs.... I don't really love mine being grabbed by other girls, however, I did let Kristen grab my boob at her moms funeral a few months back.... Figured it was the least I could do. I mean there was honestly nothing to say .....
