Kicking and Screaming...the kid was lucky i was well fed.

I was on my way to my favorite morning past-time: i do it twice a week and can't wait.....it's a little masochistic (definition=a taste for suffering), and i do suffer....last week i only wanted to throw up once, and this morning, before i got nauseous, i did lunges enstead of the burpees on one segment of the circuit:

Do you know what burpees are?? i didn't before this (christie couldn't believe this, i think she has done burpees in every sport--i think she was probably just jealous that i didn't know what they were!! But, if you don't; here you go; Burpees:
Start in a push up position.
Do one push up.
Quickly jump feet forward to a squatting position, like in a squat thrust.
Jump high into the air, bringing your knees up to your chest & raising your hands above your head.
Land with feet together, on the balls of your feet..
Drop back to a squat.
Jump feet back to a push up position.
Repeat many times or until you puke
i found a google image, i figure this is what i look like when i do them since i can't see myself!

Anyways...i digress.....(i guess i am enthralled with how awful burpees are, cause i have never done them before-and yowsa!! they are horrible!!)

The story wraps around this beautiful little 2 year old cherub who decided to hold onto his belt buckle while waving me goodbye to leave him in the carseat where he was happy.

Though this is routine to come to the centre, he knows what to expect, and i was calm, i talked to him calmly and told him what we were doing......want to know how he repaid me? Lets see if i can find a google image that will show you properly:
naw...that doesn't really do it---maybe this one will convey better:

yeah, thats a little better (a female version, mind you...but she looked the part that was a dead ringer for the emotion conveyed this morning!)
He calmed down in the childcare room after 5 minutes like i knew he would....i pretty much ran as quick as i could down the hall away from the room he was in.......ahh....a whole hour to myself!!
Half way through the class, the instructor looked at me and said 'Sharon, you are doing really good today!' (and i am thinking 'what?? bootcamp instructors are supposed to yell at you, not encourage you! ;-)--but she is wonderful--so i shot back 'you're just saying that cause you saw who i came in with this morning!'.....she retorts 'yeah....'
i love boot camp.......and we will continue to go...kicking and screaming if we must!
