Saturday, March 11th

Beautiful morning ... biked over to Wild Side and had a socially responsible distanced hike with Marika through the Forest Research center......

Then we took in a little sun down at the dock at Bear Lake ....

Sun! Sun! Sun!

Isaac and Max biked to Duncan together ....



Panago for lunch ....

Chris making tea from some flowers Raena told him to pick that were growing down by the lake ....

Our cat ... she hangs out around us quite a bit lately ... glad she is feeling better ... she was hiding for quite a few days there with her sore tail ....

Friday, April 10th

Jax and Marty were heading off for a bike ride this morning to the Forest Research center ... so Elliot joined in ....

Fun with hoses .... he thought he was pretty funny ...but it was even funnier when he took the hose out from the inside of his pants and the hose turned on and soaked him!!!

This was only 10 minutes long ... but I was able to capture its elusive pose of no movement ....

Sigh ... my teenager who loves his shirt unbuttoned .... I swear he only texted this to me because he knows it drives me crazy ....lol ... but he is so cute and he had a great day ... he made an itinerary of his local friends and went to bring joy to all of them and check in with them .... he started in Honeymoon Bay with Isaiah, and then to Lake Cowichan for a couple others and then he rode to Youbou for his friend Alex (but he couldn't find Lennon) ....

While Isaac was gone, Chris and Elliot threw the ball around for a few minutes ....

And then they found a big magnet and went metal fishing ..... they pulled up a pirate ship flag!

Not metal, nobody knows how it got hooked on, but very cool!!!

Daniel and Marike stopped in on their way to Wildside ... its a very socially distant visit ...

Finished a book in the sun today .... never did get to gardening!

And Elliot did my hair:

Sourdough just out of the oven, on its way over to the neighbors (who were very happy!)

Isaac on his Zoom meeting with his youth group .... Good Friday chapel time ....

Thursday, April 9th

Elliot has decided riding his bike around is super cool ..... he also thinks it is super cool that riding bike gets him out of the 'school schedule' that I have attempted to lay out for him .....

But I love that he is outside, happy and getting exercise .... so it is a win for everyone ....

Phil and Shannon were up to the camp property for a few hours this afternoon so Phil could mill some wood - since it is his machine ... Shannon and I decided to take a run (on opposite sides of the road .... very socially distant 3k run)

Jenny turned 50 today - so we were lucky enough to facetime her in time for cake!!!  I hope she had a good day ... lots of virtual visits and well wishes ... crazy times ....

Wednesday, April 8th aka blursday.

Brad woke me up with a picture of his age of money on YNAB, so I took my own screen shot and sent it to him .... here is his -

Ella turned 12 today ... so as part of outside time this morning, Elliot and Isaac rode their bikes to the program office and got supplies to decorate their yard in Mesachie .... very sweet ...

He decided to bike to Lake Cowichan ... Isaac went too .... but Elliot turned to go home once he reached the library ... he is really enjoying biking these days ....

Once they got home and I was in the hammock...they saw that I was alone and both crawled in ....

"Look mom!  The first mouth I ever ate from!"

Elliot liked the outdoor rug I put out under the hammock ..... she crawled all the way through underneath ....

This kid was bored today ....

Mittens came on this last bike ride as I ran to Mesachie .....

She tolerates things ....

Here we are at the gate, my end goal .... 10 pushups for Isaac and I, and 10 squats for Elliot and I (he only wants to work his lower half lol)

The selfie I sent to Lisa after I was done because I hadn't' run since I hurt my calf a few weeks ago ... but it looks like it healed up and I just needed a little push to get going again .....it was a hard run ... first one back always is .....

We played a few Disney rides on youtube .... we miss Disney ....

This one was from Expedition Everest ... when we were there all those years ago ... it was when we first learned Isaac had epilepsy but didn't realize what we were looking at because he was just get dizzy for a short period and smile while it was happening (frontal lobe seizures affect facial expression) ... so we thought it was vertigo or an ear infection ... but he remembers clearly having seizures on expedition Everest and the Tower of Terror ... he also remembers having a seizure on the dock of my parents boat down in Florida and starting to shimmy do the edge of the dock and couldn't stop - we all new crocodiles lives in the marina bay ... so that was a little scary ....

Tuesday, April 7th

This was relevant today. All the feelings these days. 

The boys did a lot of biking today.  Isaac went to lake Cowichan twice today!  Once this morning and again this afternoon when Elliot refused quiet time.

While going through all the sourdough steps while juggling work and boys.... I made some quick everything bagels (mainly yogurt and flour and that amazing bagel topping from trader joes) ....

The sourdough came out beautiful .... again.  Thanks mom!!

The boys went out after us tonight and Isaac most sent me this picture.  So cute!!!
