These days ....

Elliot has been doing a lot of work on photoshop and blender these days.  He’s also been using a green screen ....

I’ve been working quite a bit at Canada Post. It’s been really nice to have a distraction and somewhere to go and be productive.

Facebook memories graced me with this gem one morning this week.  This was a momentous night as it’s a tradition for inch’s to walk to see the Christmas lights. So she bundled Elliot up and she and Steph walked him down the road to see them all.

Hard to believe everyone is grown up now getting married, getting drivers licenses, making the shows, having babies ...feels like yesturday. This week I really missed this gang. I really didn’t know how much they were part of our December stories these past 2 decades.

Came home to this.  Thanks Elliot.

Since we are in gift mode, this is one of isaacs gifts to Elliot.    I said it wouldn’t fit Elliot and he decided to prove me wrong.

Monday - First Snow Day!!

First snowball of the season.   The sweet lad used it on it sleeping big brother and gently tossed it onto Isaacs bed.  Isaac promptly woke up and grabbed it and threw it back at him.

Mittens .... pensive Mittens.  I was on my way to work on Monday for a cobble hill post office shift and turned back before skutz falls ... I knew I wasn’t at the worst part yet... figured nobody needs to deal with a snow accident near Christmas and during a pandemic .... so I went home.

Kind of loving having reindeer in our backyard.  They can eat all my kale.  No problem.

Isaac - always one to lead the charge in a good time!!

No filter!!!?

Mind blowing sunset tonight.

Everything was pink ....

He drove in the rain to get the kit .....

Cookie decorating night!

I purchased this cookie kit from a mom who was selling them a few weeks ago and today was pickup day.

Gingerbread and sugar cookies.  It was a very sweet little kit.

Canada Post and Nespresso holder ...

Nancy and I worked at the post office this morning in town.  It’s fun because we go so far back and now look at us!  Who knew?

While we were at Mayfair mall this weekend, I saw this pod holder at the Nespresso store.  It was easily over $50 as most pod holders are.   So I took a picture and handed it to him ...

And this is what he came back with tonight!!!

It’s gorgeous.  And even holds 3 extra boxes at the back.  My husband is brilliant.  Look at that detail!

Food Bank Helper...

Isaac helped to get a packing train going on this event with his fellow students today.

Elliot and his creations!!

He’s got his own YouTube channel which I just discovered:

Here are a few of his creations (the cartoon he just liked a d sent me and I thought was hilarious, you know, very Covid relevant lol)

Zoom JR High Youth ...

Isaac and Simon are the youth leaders for this gaggle of boys (including Josh and Reid Williams) so I can hear them yelling and laughing and talking .... such good leaders. It’s a pretty big group they start with and they do games and warm up and then they break off into smaller groups .... this is Isaac and Simons group.  And this is how they sign off and say goodbye ❤️

Virtual Christmas party 2020 style

We have always been on our way somewhere else at this time, so I have never been to a Christmas party with CLBC ...until COVID!  Brita made the most beautiful little lunch packets for all the staff!

She did all this by hand for all of us!

Little packet included a face mask, a drink, a Christmas cracker ... it was pretty fun!

We played a fun game, and when you got your Christmas answer wrong, you turned off your camera ..until there was one left standing ...

Lol - Lisa won ... it was a really nice little party ... lots of laughs...and actually lots of liquor at the secret santa exchange lol - which I guess is fair considering ... you know, COVID ;-)

Christmas SUIT

He walked in to our favorite thrift store and there it was and he didn't even blink before he grabbed it!!

Boom!  The pants need a belt and will accommodate a dad bod in 30 years ....  but this was a very well made suit from an actual company (I thought it was a home sewn deal, nope)

Winter Market Day 2, oh, and my birthday!

Opened the car door and was greeted by this lovely friend ....

Setting up the new products!!!

Day 2 - don't they look professional?

We also brought a handful of bubble wands too ... when the Christmas music was playing, the bubbles added such a sense of holiday cheers ....

Rememeber my 'pre-kids' friend Lori?  Chris spotted her behind her mask before I did .... she came by the booth on day 1, and on day 2, brought us all homemade masks....very sweet.

Rachel brought our boys to the market to help work the last few hours ... Isaac got right to work.

They also got right to work looking for the perfect birthday present for me lol

Nicole came by with a birthday coffee for me too around 3....I was well caffeinated today!

One of our trees was adopted (bought) by one of the classiest venders who has a lavender business...

Here is Elliot describing my birthday present from him ... he designed me a llama at Machu Picchu, with 2 whales behind him, one with a machine gun blowing up an explosion behind the llama ...

He worked hard designing it for me ...

And then fast forward to 7pm and this is what I am greeted with as I open the door to a bunch of yelling!!  Happy birthday being belted real loud, everyone is masked up and there is a cake in a basket on a 6 foot stick and a present being held out by a pole ... It was the sweeted, Covid surprise.....

Shannon made me the most girlie cake because she knew that boys wouldn't make me a girlie cake ;-)

A Christmas gift from Shannon ...

Fast forward to bed time, and Rachel brought me my present in bed ... very sweet ....It sure was a good (long) weekend ...
