Well....here we are....the last night before Caleb is no longer with us at camp. I was feeling a little sad tonight as i thought of all the hikes and runs i have gone on with my always willing partner.....started to feel a little sentimental....until someone came to the door and Caleb went nuts....sigh.....i guess the timing was great, because i am so glad this is our last night dealing with that. Its been sorta a nightmare, loving this dog so much on one hand because he was our baby, been with us 10 years....but the other side of the coin is the territorial quality that is just getting out of hand.
So....Caleb, these are your golden years, you will never find a better set of owners that these two people. We are sending you out to 'pasture', so to speak. Enjoy the rest of your life......you have been a good and sweet dog and your final years in kelowna are going to be fantastic.

I took them canoeing tonight....it was a beautiful evening. The day was quite cool and grey....sortof a good day for a fire and movies....but it was so nice to get out tonight together. Made me start dreaming of a canoe trip ... i would love to plan a little trip together.....so we will see what shakes loose next summer.
