Chris is feeling better, the crazy dizziness that had him bouncing off the doorframes around here was either an ear infection {my sisters prediction}, or total withdrawl symptoms of the caffeine from the ice capps.....i would like to think the latter, so to discourage him from taking up that unhealthy '1 ice capp a day' habit....all cream and expresso syrup can't be good for anyone.
Elliot has bounced back and is full of life again, but is it wrong that i enjoyed the low key boy for a day? maybe it is - but its my blog and i can be honest.
We are on our last day here at the Inch's and are planning our departure for Indio tommorow {palm desert}....there is a wonderful worldmark that we love there, and this week its only $60 a night! So we will stay there fro 3 nights before heading to vegas for our flight sunday morning. But since its our last day, we were planning to take the kids to Disneyland.
A few things weren't going our way in the planning though--for the first time in holiday history, i was NOT able to get a deal for the tickets. So, gate tickets were going to be around $300!! Chris convinced me that it wasn't a big deal, so we continued with the planning.....mapquesting the route with traffic, was going to take almost 2 hours to get there!! {wha?}....and the final straw: the park was going to be closing at 6!!! Jackie said there is no way we would want to be on the highway at 6...so we would have to buy time somewhere else for a few hours and it would STILL take an hour and a half to get home.
No thanks.
Here is the funny and awesome thing about having a 6 and 4 year old;
Chris: "Who wants to go to Chuckie Cheese today and maybe see Narnia after?"
{at this point i am expecting screams of 'no way!! we want to go to Disneyland', i mean, we had been talking about it for days}
BOTH kids yell: 'MEEEEEEE'
No further talk of Disneyland....i feel richer already...so the clear winning mouse is:
