Heading back to Vegas.....

The road trip from Indio to Vegas was one of the driving highlights for my best friend. 

We drove through such a diversity of landscapes, some of the highlights were the salt fields we came across!  Seriously, this land was once all underwater and now the water is all gone and the salt was left behind.  Here are some of the highlights from that stop:

After a nice stop and soaking in the last of the warm sun, we continued;

And then we took a detour to these sand dunes;
