From PJ's and bed head in 10 minutes ... a little make up and a few curls and out the door we go ...
Ran the café for the beginning of the retreat. Bunch of young 'guppies' who were excited for the party but also a group of older staff who we love and enjoy hanging out with ....

Isaac came down to the café for my second shift to help out ... he is going for a record of how many days he can stay in his onesie ..... Nobody even seemed to bat an eye, even a couple campers came in with their own onesies on ..... so funny.

Chris couldn't last past 6:30 .... we had grabbed dinner for all 4 of us and brought it home and eaten in the livingroom, and then he went to bed until 11. I stayed down at camp doing the café and playing games with the older staff until almost 11...so by the time I got back, I was starting to crash on the couch, and he was putting his shoes on to make sure all was running well down at camp. The sweet guy brought home sparkling apple juice with the boys so he could toast in the new year with me (who hadn't left the couch at midnight to go down like the boys did)..... so here we are cheering with camp cups! ;-)
Around 1am, a group came up and we watched Mall Cop .... pretty hilarious as we were all making fun of ourselves "Hey! What'd you do for New Years? Well!! We rang in the New Year watching Mall Cop up at the Burdges...."
At midnight, Chris had brought out the floating lanterns for campers ... it was a spontaneous and lovely event - a favorite highlight of the weekend according to one camper the next morning ....
He is my favorite ... this month has been good for us ... we have been all over the map (literally)--with where we have gone in the world, what we have dreamt about for this upcoming year, where we are in our marriage and our friendship ... and things just seem to keep getting better. I am one lucky girl.
