Happy New Year!!!

We are friends because she didn't even blink when i put
sea salt chocolate into one of the veggie tray squares!!

We snacked, walked, and played crib while the boys went out quading....

Hard to tell...but this is nacho time during our New Years Black Out!!!

Lights came back on....the 'men' were still out roaming the streets trying to figure out what caused the blackout....i think they just didn't want to be in a dark house overrun by little boys!  But the boys did really well....we put elliot and marty to bed while the big boys stayed up and finished their game of Stratego...and the men came back after this was all done and the lights were back up....of course!

After the boys {Jax not included!!} headed to bed with their little friends, whispering and laughing...i mean, after all...it is very exciting to have sleepovers, nevermind during a power out!!  When the power DID come back on, we all ran to turn the lights off because it was so fun in the house in the dark with the candles!!

Fire was on....brie with candied walnuts and the best seedy crackers ever....sparkling apple juice...a close game of crib...though meg always wins.....i will try not to hold it against her....but i may not ever play her again...brett, yes...meg, probably not!!

Another year......

Our 3 boys chucked out "screamers" into the yard just after midnight!!!

Such a good night with such good friends......

Isaac and Max finally fell asleep super late....whispering and playing eye-spy on isaacs bed.

Marty and Elliot fell asleep pretty quick....no whispers and games for these little guys!  But when asked if they wanted to fall asleep together, elliot puts his arm around marty and said ' oh yeah!!!'
