With Elliot in camp this week, Isaac just likes to read, so it was a good day to bring him to work as everyone is on holidays. When we arrived, he took up the racket and went on a fly killing spree - we are not sure where these gross flies are coming from, but they are in our office! He seemed very happy with this job.....
He finished his book so we walked down to the local bookstore to get him the second book in the series .... "The mysteriou Benedict Society" ... he is hooked. And I am thankful they are priced as kids books at roughly $12 enstead of $28 like his last series!!!

He and I are spending some good time together ... he is funny and always has a story, but he is also in a super gross stage of picking his bug bites til they bleed and seeing how incredibly dirty his feet can get, and then gets much joy out of showing you both! He balks at washing his feet at night but will take 1/2 hour long showers .... he is a riddle ....

My first home grown tomato ... I am warming up to the idea of a garden ... maybe next year.

Chris took Isaac and I for a boat ride last night after his day was over .... the boat only died twice and we were able to do the perimeter of the lake ... so it is getting better! Our first few minutes was spent watching a mama and baby otter play in the little bay....

And watching the eagle in his favorite tree ....

Though it is smokey, it is still so beautiful ....

My boy ....

My boy practicing his knot tying ....

Quick jump in before bed!!
