Here is Chris and Soren taking a moment and their first cuddle together. We’ve loved watching Maelle and Levi grow up so it’s been very fun meeting Soren. Maelle was celebrating her 9 year birthday in our yard. What’s fun about that is that years ago, court and Ryan saw each other on their wedding day for the first time in our yard. Isaac was their ring bearer, and while wearing his buzz lightyear suit, he shot out his arms like a plane and yelled ‘to infinity and beyond’!! A ra down the aisle with the rings.
Elliot had friends come to play for the day at open house for his birthday. They were nice kids .... Tyler, Melissa, Taya and Anyea. They gave him money and candy. They seem to know him :-)
He said he once made reference “isn’t Tony the Tiger beautiful?” And I can’t remember the other references of the characters of this card, but Melissa drew it for him and he thought it was awesome!!
And Open House .... didn’t see Chris pretty much all week. He worked such long hours to get the dock done - thanks Dan for yet another project left for another person to finish right before camp starts. But despite the politics, it’s a good change and will accommodate so many more campers. There are always upsides I just wish someone other than Chris could finish these projects that get started here. But over 1000 people were here on Saturday. I ran the cafe for a few hours in the morning, helped wrangle all Elliot’s friends for the afternoon and visited with old friends until the end of the day. Isaac had all his friends here too for the day and then left to sleepover at Isaiah’s and we didn’t see him til Sunday afternoon. So, I slept amazing and the house stayed clean lol. We were all asleep (us remaining 3) by 9:30....Elliot on the floor in our room and Chris was snoring pretty quickly. Seemed to be a good day.
