The boys made their own Nunavuts to join the rest of them piled around this one area!
I had just farted ... And am laughing so hard because he just wants to jet outta there!
Sorry ... Back to being a lady;
Elliot was a leader through this first big hike. But we got back to the car ... All pretty tired and spent but there was so much more to see!!! The next hike on the agenda included a small walkway with cliffs on one side and chains to hold onto that were pegged into the mountain on the other side. Elliot was putting up a fuss after being told he had to get out of the car again .... He cried for much of the walk up, but here he is, happy as a clam as we told him we changed out minds about this hike and were heading back to the car!
He was very happy ....
iPhone pictures are brutal ... We will be blowing up some of the shots taken on the SLR camera. It was so beautiful. Walking under a waterfall along these orange cliffs and watching these boys own the trails like pros ... Priceless.
Slowing down for a small herd of wild turkeys crossing the road. You know ... Everyday stuff.
We also hit a ghost town on the way home that was interesting. Look at this one year that this village endured. 13 people within the span of a year, one after another just died of various causes. We walked through the cemetery ... And talked about vaccinations and death.
Then the long ride home to a spaghetti dinner. We upgraded to stay in the worldmark penthouse for the next 3 nights.
Everyone slept well tonight.
