It was a pretty long day of driving but it started quite early with a timeshare talk we were talked into because the reward for listening for 90 minutes was a great free breakfast, our parking paid for (I had been losing my mind that parking our car for two days was $100 US), and another $100US Visa card we now plan on using at Disney.
We arrived at the Inch’s around 6pm and the last hour of driving was so scary with all the torrential down pouring of rain on a super busy highway! Everyone was still driving so fast and there was even a corvette with NO lights! No brake lights or running lights - the only reason we saw it was because the headlights of the car behind it shone through it!! But once we made the familiar turn onto Ethel avenue, and their Christmas lights were on and we parked, it felt like coming home. Isaac immediately sat down at the piano, Elliot found his room and everyone just settled in.
Kevin made his famous ribs which we all laughed about - and Jackie re-told the story of bundling Elliot up in blankets and walking him down the block to see the Christmas lights when he was 2. We had made a bet in the car that she would tell him that story within a few minutes of our arrival and that there would be ribs!! And YES!!! To BOTH!! We love the Inch’s.
We are now settled in watching not-yet-released movies that Kevin gets - tonight is the new Mary Poppins …. it was cute but we stopped it at the half way mark to go to bed, and we haven't put it back on...it was a bit boring.
