Shaleah spoke at my 2nd womens retreat here at camp....she spoke about her experiences in Africa, raising kids, challenges....and I always just feel like we have had a connected conversation after our time together. It seems so much more now in my life, that its hard to find good friends....especially in my life. People come and go so quickly in this type of lifestyle....feast or famine! Love who is in front of you at that time, stop looking around, and just breathe with the air in your environment at that time!! You don't need anything else.
Rich and Chris used to take these mountain hikes with Caleb and their border collie Tandy.....it was the type of outings that would make us nervous -- as in "Hey chris, I hear a waterfall through those bushes....want to go find it?"...."Yeah, sure, lets bush whack for hours and see if we can see it"......they would never find the waterwall, and would be bushwhacking for hours.....oh man.....Rich and Shaleah climbed Kilimanjaro last year....Shaleah made it and Rich had to turn back because he was climbing too fast and not letting his body acclimatize......they are the neatest couple and I wish we lived closer. Now, Carrie lives close to them....Shaleah did say she feels like she knows Carrie just based on those newborn pictures she took of us all a few years ago.....
