Mountain hike....

It was the evening that 120 teen campers were going up the mountain for chapel....so when I looked over at Jack at dinnertime and asked if he would like to hike the mountain....without blinking, it was a resounding 'YES'!!  

So, with Jack and Isaac in tow, we quaded to the base of the mountain...here we are!!  We beat the whole camp up to the top!!  It was SO HOT, so before we hopped on the quad, we jumped in the water so we'd be wet and cool hiking up....it was a great idea.

Jack was a great leader....this kid can seriously hike!  He ran circles around Isaac who kept wanting breaks.

MADE IT!!!!  It was such a nice hike up now that the new switchbacks were made.

Here comes Chris who took the quad up the mountain with water and mug up snack for the kids.....

Jack pretty much ran all the way home!  Got to love a little bit of downhill!

Finally made it to the quad.....its was a roaster!! We were so hot....so a swim was on the agenda when we got home....but the sweetest part about the ride home was Jack and I singing to the top of our voices all the way home!! So fun!

After a swim!!!  It was almost 10 by then -  still light out, and still hot!!  Love this weather!
