Epcot was officially Epic.....

We took our time getting going today which was awesome.  Cleaned up, made lunches, Chris got a rental car and picked us up and we were at the park by 10......coffees in hand, we were fresh and ready to go!
First was Soarin..... An amazing ride that lived up to what the woman on the plane said about it !!  Even Elliot loved it!!  Soaring over vast landscapes.... Even smelling what we would smell if we were really there (like oranges as we flew over a citrus grove in California), wind in our faces..... Unbelievable ride!!!
(Yes, I could not help snapping a few shots !!  Chris had the go pro on his head!!)
Next was walking over to the next place about taking care of the earth .... In the big dome that looks like the big golf ball!  Yes, that is cauliflower he is eating!!  Thanks mom!! We have eaten so well this week thanks to you!!
This was part of the ride in the big dome....i think it was called journey through planet earth?
I love they have me near a fire with a coffee... How did they know my favorites ???

Next the boys designed their own cars for the test track !  Isaac won for fastest car.... Elliot for most environmental ( it was a hybrid after all)....
It was a wild ride !!  After designing the cars, they got to test drive......later, both boys said this was one of their favorite rides.  They were both very comfortable throwing their fingers around the flat screen and dragging things here and their to design.  Even Elliot showed me a couple things that I had missed.....

These boys have been laughing this whole trip, which can get annoying after awhile, but they are having the best time.  I, on the other hand, am pretty beat......and am envious of the energy level they have been able to maintain.  Average of 12 hours days of full walking and waiting in various lines.....its been a marathon.
My favorite part was all the countries portrayed at Epcot.  Recognize the background?  We had crepes in France, pizza in Naples, took a boat ride in Mexico, laughed at everyone holding a beer in Germany......
Oh hello crepes in France....he was a fan.
Fireworks at the end of the day.....our feet were killing us!!!  There was this huge globe in the middle of the water with holograms within it with fireworks going off all around.
Epcot was one of our favorites so far!  And it was surprising because we didn't have high hopes for it.  We had heard there was alot of reading, not alot of rides, and more of an 'educational' theme park.....well, it was the best so far...who knew our boys would be ready for all that?

Epcot favorites: Mission to mars, Soarin', test track.....Elliot kept asking for this bubble gun that was being sold everywhere, he has been the toughest one to steer away from the 'consumerism' of it all.  And THAT has been the toughest part of this Disney visits; trying to bypass all the attempts to get us to buy something. We are there for family time and have a state of mind already of simplifying our stuff, and minding our money, and we were able to be successful for the most part.
