Today was big drive day!! To the southern east coast of England to Dover!
Turns out the route passed the Battle of Britain memorial.
We took a walk around the beautiful grounds and tried to imagine what it would be like to see German planes approaching …. This was the writing at the memorial about all the pilots …. Including Chris’s grandfather.
After the memorial, we headed over to Dover castle and had lunch in the sun …. Snacks and ichiban soup!!
So much to see …
Off to see the white cliffs of Dover ….
The long ride home ….
