Day 9 - leaving the castle to see family!

We packed up - the car is parked near our back door to our apartment.  It really was the nicest place we have ever stayed on our travels.  Such a great experience and beautiful home base for this last week …..

The tree bloomed (bottom left) from nothing to what you see here … that was fun to watch each morning as we left on our daily outings.

It’s nice to drive in the country side - we feel more at home here than in the crazy city …. Despite being on the wrong side of the road and car.

We arrived at the Rectory for lunch on Saturday.  John and Janet and Peter and Elsa each drove an hour to meet us at Becky’s for lunch.

Such a sweet cozy home. Bright and happy.  Becky made lasagna and salad and we had little cakes and crumble for dessert.  Then tea and chocolates.

Elliot found Becky’s cat Snowstorm and felt right at home.

Becky took us for a tour of her church …. As I took this picture I also stepped in a big pile of dog poop as Becky said “watch your footing” lol …. Too late.

Holding the wardens staff …. Used to knock people in their pews to ensure they stay awake apparently.

Isaac was allowed to play the organ …

Peter and Becky …. Such nice family. It was a great afternoon.

We then followed John and Janet back to the Deer Farm …
